The Effen Search Photography

What is the Effen Search? It's the sound of a stamp landing on your passport in an exotic land. It's the sound of clinking glasses after another successful misadventure. It's showing your friends blurry x-ray's of your bent spine from South America. It's clutching your camera and heading in the opposite direction from the seething hordes. It's the ups and downs of my journey in search of... anything, everything, something or nothing.

Growing up in a small town in the Southern Alberta prairies, I started taking an interest in photography in Jr. High. I started out with old disposable Fuji film cameras and taking photos of my friends skateboarding. My Mother gave me her early 70's  Pentax Spotmatic camera that she used in university and things progressed from there. Now a days I hardly go anywhere without a camera in hand and my passion has grown into my dream job. Nothing comes easy but at the end of a long day of shooting, I always smile knowing it's what I want to do with my life.
